When counting in hundreds, the numbers from 100 to 999 use san, which means hundred.

The numbers from 100 to 999 use the word san.

Consider These Examples

1. 200
De san → Two hundred

2. 600
Sis san → Six hundred

See our lesson on counting up to 100

3. 742
Sèt san karann-de → Seven hundred forty-two

When to Be Careful

When simply saying one hundred, do not say en san.

Remember, one hundred is simply san in Creole.
